Connectivity, Rebuilt

$1 Million in Helium Grants Funded and a Trillion-Dollar Industry Shifts.

This past May, Helium committed $50 million in grants to accelerate a simple but powerful idea: wireless connectivity shouldn’t be owned by a few corporations — it should be built by everyone.

That idea is taking hold. Since May, over $1 million in Helium grants have already been funded, empowering builders, deployers, and innovators to expand coverage, improve performance, and deliver affordable connectivity to more people. When the coverage grant program started, the Helium Mobile Network had just crossed 1 million daily active users (DAUs). Today, we’re approaching 2 million — doubling in record time.

Helium is proving that decentralized, community-owned and operated infrastructure can meet real-world demand and scale faster than traditional telecom, while complementing and supporting legacy carriers along the way.

Built for the Long Term

The legacy model isn’t scaling. Unsightly cell towers cost billions in capital expenditure every year, followed by eye-popping monthly bills that get passed directly to consumers. Each new generation of wireless promises more, but somehow we just end up paying more too. It’s time for the model to evolve.

Helium is connectivity, rebuilt. Instead of infrastructure dictated from the top down, Helium is built from the ground up, by people. As the Network grows, costs go down, and participants are rewarded. It’s wireless infrastructure owned by many, not few.

The New Currency of Connectivity

As Helium grows, so does its economy. HNT is more than just a token — it’s the currency of connectivity, representing real participation in a trillion-dollar global industry being reimagined for the people who use it.

Each new Hotspot deployment and each new subscriber moves us closer to a future where connectivity is open, efficient, and truly shared. It’s not just about better coverage, it’s about ownership.

Rising to Meet Demand

The momentum across the Helium ecosystem has never been stronger. We launched the grant program to meet that rising demand. Today, the Helium Mobile Network serves roaming activity from six enterprise carriers, including global giants AT&T and Telefonica, alongside coverage for a fast-growing subscriber base at Helium Mobile.

We’re supporting Helium builders and deployers driving the next wave of wireless innovation. They share our belief that wireless is not just a static service to consume, but rather a living and evolving system that communities can shape and improve to meet their own needs. As Helium grows, these contributors remain at the heart of everything that makes the Helium Network more resilient, flexible, and scalable than anything that came before it.

Join the Movement to Rebuild Connectivity

Helium is more than a network, it’s a movement to rebuild how the world connects.

Explore grant opportunities to fund your next deployment. Or own a piece of the Network through HNT, the new currency of connectivity.

This is a trillion-dollar industry being rebuilt in real time — one that touches every person, every device, and every corner of the planet. Helium is proving that the power to connect the world doesn’t belong to a few corporations, it belongs to all of us.
