Hooo-raahhh!
After one minor formatting glitch that I had to correct, the Scribblin's of a Freelance Writer Zone is now live. Many thanks to the staff of Helium for their assistance and speedy response to my request for zone approval.
Today's been one of those "why can't I get it together" days and after letting the articles I posted settle for a time, the type of day I've had is reflected in my writing. Leap Frog here I come! Oh well, we can't hit it hot with our articles all the time.
For those interested in open calls for submissions, I'd like to share with you that Cup of Comfort, a publication that I am familiar with, is seeking short stories for their upcoming book about Fathers. The deadline for this submission call is April 1, 2009 with authors being notified of acceptance by April 15, 2009.
Adams Media, the publisher for the Cup of Comfort Series, offers one author from each book $500 for submitting what they deem to be the best story. All other stories accepted for publication receive $100 for their submission.
Well, as much as I would love to stay and play in Betaville, I have a few edits glaring at me and they won't go away on their own.
See ya'll real soon,
Maryellen
