Exercise & Nutrition Basics

For those who are just beginning the Health & Fitness adventure

A fit lifestyle includes a combination of diet and exercise.  This will help you achieve and live a healthy fit lifestyle.  It is best to start out with small changes you can live with and then enhance those changes as you learn, grow and achieve a higher level of fitness.

Welcome

As co-steward of helium’s Health & Fitness Channel, it is very important to me to help others achieve a higher level of fitness in their own lives.  Often people give up on fitness and nutrition because they see the huge big picture and think, "There is no way I can do this".

It is my goal to help those who are just setting out on their own personal exercise and nutrition journey to see the little picture.  I hope to show you that by making little changes over time you can live an active and healthy fit lifestyle.

Small changes that you can be dedicated to incorporate into your lifestyle will help you change your overall appearance and quality of life.  Of course, you will not see dramatic changes immediately.  However, changes will occur and they will be lasting.  The key is to only accept small changes that you can live with.

Do not worry those small changes will add up over time and as your comfort level increases your changes can increase right along with you.

To Life, Health and Happiness,
Carolina :)

Hi Carolina, this is a great zone. I always feel guilty that I haven't been staying as fit as I should have. There's good advice here for beginners. I guess it's never too late to start getting in shape:)

I like this idea of articles/ideas specifically for beginners. It's even good good info (reminders!) for an experienced exerciser like me. Well done.
