What is a Steward?
Stewards are writers' and readers' guides around Helium. Their "contact this writer" buttons always work, and if they don't know, they will find an answer to your questions. They have amassed articles in their chosen subject, and many others, and are willing to share that knowledge with any who would seek it. Imbibed in the spirit of giving, stewards help readers find material, writers find their voice and everyone find Helium. Conduits in the information chain, stewards bring Helium news to the public eye. They Twitter and stumble upon most everything, even if they Digg it, too. Real world knowledge comes from their hands on experiences. Stewards open windows. Quality is the steward mantra. In their own writing, in the writing of their mentees, on the Helium site, they strive to bring the best information to the fore through writing, rating and education. Many stewards inhabit the forums. They are the writer's pipeline into Helium. By suggesting titles, opening debates and listening to the writers, stewards find ways to bring knowledge to everyone. Stewards learn. They keep their minds open to opposing opinion, marketing strategy, hot topics, demands for content and new ways to educate themselves, all while finding new ways to help Heliumites the world over. If you need a hand, a steward will be there. If you would like to lend a hand, become a steward. Read Barbara Whitlock's article on the Steward Program. We are all here for you. Visit the Helium...
