Where Knowledge Rules

Glory Lennon: In a Nut Shell

Be content with never quite getting the whole picture

An exceptionally bashful creature, Glory Lennon can only truly come out of her shell when no one's looking and even then you may not really get to know much about her. She would much rather listen to others than speak herself and much prefer to watch from the sidelines than get in on the action herself, you see. Her true self, however, tends to leak out onto the page she's writing on, forms in the words she types, evolves in the characters she creates. Personal experience, observations and imagination inspire her in equal measure. These combined have allowed her to create her own fantasy world. A much better place to exist than the real world, she believes.

Want a sneak peek into her head? Well, it's your two minutes. Do with it what you will.

What to Write About

Glory have been in love since the age of eighteen and to the same guy no less; a wondrous, amazing and unbelievable occurrence in this day and age. The love of her life, Tommy, inspires the romantic in her just by being there. So, it’s no surprise that she should write about romance, love and all the messiness involved when things are not as perfect as they should be but especially when they are.

With her Tommy she created a crew of four children, each as varied and different as the next and all inspiring in their own way. Children have the odd tendency to make parents creative out of necessity more than a desire to be so. It would be safe to assume then that Glory got her creative side jump-started when the kids brought home stories from school, adventures with their friends and tales of troublesome events that could only be thought humorous years after the fact.

Little did she realize but Glory was collecting these memories for later use and many have been brought out of hiding to star in a short story, a novel or even an article on autism or writing . The kids, no doubt, would never recognize themselves in any of her tales and yet there are bits and pieces of them scattered about. Perhaps it is best if they stay ignorant of this fact.

More to Glory Than Romantic Stories

There is a practical side to Glory. It is not all story telling. Glory loves to garden. All of nature intrigues her from the birds that fly into her backyard to feed on sunflower seeds, the bees that come from the hives a mile down the road to all the flowers, trees, vines, shrubs and herbs she’s got growing all over her four acre plot of land in the northeast corner of Pennsylvania known as the Pocono Mountains in a tiny town called, appropriately enough, Greentown.

With this love of plants it came as no surprise that she should start sharing her accumulated knowledge of gardening plus her garden’s bounty with others. At first only her friends and acquaintances profited from this garden know-how but soon she was asked to do a small garden advice column as a favor to the editor of the Promised Land Village News. Little did anyone know she actually had a inborn knack for writing. She was as surprised about that as anyone.
