National Anthem of Pakistan

The music of the national anthem of Pakistan was composed by renowned composer Ahmed Ghulamali Chagla, with lyrics written by the famous poet, Abu-Al-Asar Hafeez Jullundhri in 1950. This anthem was selected from among 723 entries.

The national anthem is played during any event involving the hoisting of the flag, for example Pakistan Day (March 23) and Independence Day (August 14) in official ceremonies. It is commonly sung by students in all educational institutes with great pride and gusto.
