Bedbugs are sly sneaky little creatures with bite numbing agents that prevent your knowing when or where they're piercing your skin...

BedBug Awareness Can Keep Your Family Safe

Unlike mosquitoes, fleas, ants and spiders that usually give some form of indication they are about to pierce your skin, sneaky little bedbugs attack you in your sleep. That's because these parasitic rascals are like bad guys in old western cowboy movies whose lack of character allows them to shoot a man when his back is turned. During the day bedbugs hide in dressers, mattresses, bed boards and other furniture that are in close proximity to where humans sleep. At some point following night fall, and after people are asleep, bedbugs exit their hiding places and creep into bed to drink human blood. This zone will help you determine if you've come in contact with bedbugs, what to do if you have contacted bedbugs, whether or not you have bedbugs in your home, how to prevent bedbugs from setting up in your home, preventing bedbugs from hitchhiking when you travel, and much more about the woes of bedbugs... those sneaky pesky critters!

Facts About Bed Bugs

Bedbugs are bloodsucking hemipteran insects. Hemipteran simply means they are "true bugs" thus classified because of their sucking beaklike mouthparts. Read more.

BedBug Woes

on Jun 25, 09 at 12:59 AM

I created this zone after coming in contact with bedbugs. Had no idea why my ankle was itching so much while out the country. My socks were on. Itching occurred anyway. Thought a parasite had entered my ankle and was releasing larva beneath my skin. Didn't know I'd been attacked by bedbugs till after a little research following my return home. This is how my leg looked the first time I saw the bite marks - some hours after the buggers attacked me. Not a pleasant experience. I'm still suffering a week later.

M Resetty, I got them in a home of someone I was visiting. The homeowners had no idea they had a bedbug problem. This is because some people are not affected by bedbug bites. Read the above article "How to Prevent Bedbugs from Infesting Your Home". It discusses places bedbugs hideout waiting for unsuspecting victims.
