The best part is you can accent what you use on a daily basis to a night on the town by adding a slightly heavier hand.

Before You Begin.

Step 1

 

Start your regime always with clean hands and face before applying makeup. Use an appropriate moisturizer for your face and one for your eyes based on your particular skin type. Let it set a few minutes. Oily skin types can take a blow dryer on a cool setting to allow it to set faster.

Conceal the Flaws

Your new best friend is a concealer that is one shade lighter than you skin tone, preferably in a tube. Dab it lightly under the eyes and on any blemishes. Blend carefully with a soft sponge to set.

Priming the Canvas; Your Face

Whether you choose a mousse, cream or liquid; foundation is used to help even out skin tone, Your foundation should exactly match you skin tone. That means different colors for different seasons, especially if you tan during the warmer weather. First dot the T zone, chin and cheeks of your face.

 

 

Blend it with a sponge. Your foundation then has more control in a natural appearance while helping to even out any imperfections or discoloration without streaking.

 

Set the Primer with Powder

A loose or pressed powder sets the foundation and concealer to last the whole day and is highly recommended for oily skin types. Use pressed powder to touch up when you're away from home.

Add a Little Color to Those Cheeks

Use a powder one with a large brush or a cream one by dotting the area and once again; the magic word is blend. Either cake eyeliner with a damp, thin liner brush, a liquid in a medium color or an eyeliner pencil will do. Lining the lower lid below the lashes will bring out the eyes. Line only the outer two-thirds of the lower lid, or all the way across if you're trying to achieve the smoky eye look. Line just above the lash line on the upper lid all the way across as close to the lashes as possible.

Balance your lids with three shades of eye shadow: light, medium and dark. Use the dark only to line the crease between upper eyelid and lashes. Use the medium shade below the crease and the lightest shade for the area directly under the eyebrow.

A lash curler is a must before applying mascara to ensure that lashes appear lush. Apply mascara to upper and lower lashes, in two thin coats to avoid clumpiness. Choose brown mascara if your coloring is fair; black or brown-black works well for darker coloring.

Outline and Color your Mouth

Line lips before applying lipstick with a shade slightly darker than your lip tint. Blend the lip liner with a Q-tip. If you lipstick or gloss tend to vanish, use the lip liner as a base prior to applying your lip color. 


Choose a lipstick color that's suited to your skin tone and that's perfect for your day look. You can mix colors and textures to suit your moods and your outfits

Every tool has its own function and you don't need to acquire all of them. You can make do with common items such as Q-Tips, facial tissue and applicators that come with your makeup items. Try to obtain only those items that make sense and work for you. It pays to buy good quality tools as they will last for many years.

Good advice. I find these days that my eyesight is too poor to chance much make-up. Nice girly zone though.
