Is it time to face up to the facts?
If you immigrate to a country shouldn't you be expected to support it's actions and policies?
Muslim hate preacher ridicules troops abused in anti-war protests - and mocks their dead comrade
A Muslim preacher of hate today ridiculed British soldiers who were abused during a homecoming parade - branding them cowards who have an 'uncanny knack for death by friendly fire'.
Firebrand preacher Anjem Choudary praised the Muslims who had protested at yesterday's parade for the 2nd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment in Luton.
And in an inflammatory message posted on an Islamic extremist website, Choudary viciously mocked their comrade who was killed by friendly fire in Iraq.
His words came as police charged a man who allegedly shouted abuse at the Muslim anti-war protesters. . .

And commenting as the father of a British soldier who has died for this country,
"There is simply no excuse for spreading such evil. It is not right to have people living within the community, enjoying all the liberties and benefits it brings, and yet still considering themselves to be outside the community.
I do not know if these people are representative of the wider Muslim community. What I do know is that these people represent the unacceptable face of Islam, and they are ghettoising themselves.
And so, as both a citizen and the father of a dead soldier, I feel we need to confront these people and these views face on, with no shilly-shallying, or liberal hand-wringing - there has been enough of that in this country."

Jayne's views!
What a disgraceful state of affairs! How dare people who profess themselves to be 'British' behave with such disrespect for the very people who keep this country safe? I can't help feeling that these are the immigrants that should be encouraged to return to whence they came - with a helpful boot out the door! If the beliefs and policies of this country are so distasteful to these people why would they want to live in this 'oppresive' society anyway?
And if life is so great in these Muslim countries then why on earth did they leave in the first place?
Perhaps one can understand why some people just want to say,
"GO HOME, YOU'RE NOT WANTED HERE!"
We British are a generous lot - even in the midst of economic decline!
Lets Dance for Comic Relief!
It's things like this that make you realise that there are still some pretty great people living in this country. Every year people all around Britain get together to raise funds for children around the world - we call it 'Red Nose Day' and the slogan goes "Do something Funny for Money".
This year the BBC put together a spoof dancing competition for our entertainment. Various celebrities, ranging from comedians to soap opera actors got to strut their stuff to great tunes and musicals of yesteryear. We had the Blues Brothers, an hysterical take on Britany Spears and the brilliant Robert Webb doing his version of that famous dance routine in Flashdance - amongst others. This one show alone raised in excess of £300,000 in telephone votes for the charity!
With the many events taking place around the country over the past few weeks, Comedy Relief has managed to raise a record breaking £57 million for 2009!
With this spirit of generosity and the ability to still have a good laugh even during times of adversity, I feel more confident that we have the ability to rise once more to the great Nation we once were.
Well done my fellow countrymen - a well deserved pat on the back!
oh, and the winner was . . . Robert Webb in Flashdance. Hope you enjoy the video clip as much as the British public enjoyed his performance :)

Daniel Hannon's Famous Speech on Utube
'Prime Minister, I see you've already mastered the essential craft of the European politician: namely the ability to say one thing in this chamber and a very different thing to your home electorate. You've spoken here of free trade, and amen to that.
Who would have guessed, listening to you just now, that you were the author of the phrase 'British jobs for British workers,' and that you have subsidised - where you have not nationalised outright - swaths of our economy, including the car industry and many of the banks.
Perhaps you would have more moral authority in this House if your actions matched your words, and perhaps more legitimacy in the councils of the world if the United Kingdom were not sailing into this recession in the worst condition of any G20 country.
The truth, Prime Minister, is that you have run out of our money. The country as a whole is now in negative equity. Every British child is now born owing around £20,000. Servicing the interest on that debt is going to cost more than educating the child.
Now, once again today, you have tried to spread the blame around. You spoke about an international recession, an international crisis.
Well, it's true that we are sailing together into the squalls but not every vessel in the convoy is in the same dilapidated condition. Other ships used the good years to caulk their hulls and clear their rigging - in other words, to pay off debt. But you used the good years to raise borrowing yet further.
As a consequence, under your captaincy, our hull is pressed deep into the waterline under the accumulated weight of your debt.
We are now running a deficit that touches 10 per cent of GDP, an almost unbelievable figure - more than Pakistan, more than Hungary; countries where the IMF has already been called in.
It's not just that you are not apologising - like everyone else I've long accepted that you are pathologically incapable of accepting responsibility for these things - it's that you are carrying on wilfully worsening our situation, wantonly spending what little we have left.
In the last year 100,000 private sector jobs have been lost and yet you have created 30,000 public sector jobs. Prime Minister, you cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecedented engorgement of the unproductive bit.
You cannot spend your way out of a recession or borrow your way out of debt. And when you repeat, in that wooden and perfunctory way, that our situation is better than others, that we are well placed to weather the storm, I have to tell you, you sound like a Brezhnev era apparatchik giving the party line.
You know and we know and you know that we know that it's nonsense. Everyone knows that Britain is worse off than any other country as we go into these hard times.
The IMF has said so. The European Commission has said so. The markets say so, which is why the pound has lost a third of its value.
In a few months, the voters will have their chance to say so, too.
They can see what the markets have seen: that you are the devalued Prime Minister of a devalued Government.'

Are British workers being treated fairly?
Could this be the way forward?
Immigration points system begins
The government has launched the first stage of a new points-based system for migrants from outside the EU.
It will initially only apply to highly skilled workers already in the country who want to extend their stay.
But by the end of 2008, every graduate with good English, on £40,000 or the local equivalent, will potentially have enough points to seek work in the UK.
Read more HERE
HOW THE NEW POINTS SYSTEM WILL WORK:
There are five "tiers" within the points scheme within which people applying to work in the UK would be categorised.
Tier One: Highly skilled The most skilled professionals will automatically have enough points to come to the UK without a job offer and seek work or set up a business. This tier includes entrepreneurs, top scientists and business people. Tier One is the first part of the system to be rolled out with ministers saying it will be fully operational worldwide by the end of summer 2008. Workers in this category have the most flexibility in the UK and greatest opportunities to settle for good because the system regards them as having the most potential for generating wealth benefiting Britain.
Tier two: Skilled with job offer This covers people with qualifications or important work-related experience in a huge range of sectors from health service workers to white collar jobs and the trades. People in this category will be given points on their talents and will be allowed into the UK if they have a job offer in a "shortage area" such as nursing. Tier two will come into force from late 2008 and employers will need to register as a sponsor. The government says that employers who don't meet strict criteria could be barred from bringing in foreign workers.
Tier three: Low skilled Until now, the government has allowed temporary migration to jobs in hospitality, food processing and agriculture from all over the world. It is has now cut these permissions in favour of workers from the expanded European Union, who do not need prior permission to arrive. No date has been set for this tier to be activated. Officials say they believe vacancies can be filled with EU workers.
Tier four: Students This will come into force in 2009 and covers those paying for tuition in the UK. Universities and colleges increasingly depend on the income from overseas students - and many institutions have developed formal links with counterparts abroad. In previous years student visas have proved controversial, with allegations that it was a route open to abuse.
Tier five: Temporary workers, Youth mobility This will include professional sports people or professional musicians, who want to "work" in the UK for an event such as the Olympics or a football match, or a concert. The youth mobility aspect is intended to cover cultural exchanges or working holidays by young people. This will be in force before the end of 2008.

Boy, eight, was accused of rape
A boy of eight was accused of raping a girl in Suffolk under the age of 13, according to details released under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
The case was investigated but no action was taken against the boy who was too young to be prosecuted.
The information was revealed after an FOIA request to Suffolk Police for 2008 allegations against children under 10.
The request also revealed a five-year-old and two six-year-olds were accused of racially aggravated harassment.
Figures also showed:
• An eight-year-old from the Ipswich area was accused of causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity
• Two seven-year-olds were accused of damaging a vehicle
• A seven-year-old was accused of theft and two nine-year-olds were accused of assault.
A Suffolk police spokesman said: "In circumstances where the suspected offender is below the age of criminal responsibility, the incident, like any other crime, is thoroughly investigated.
"However, it cannot be dealt with by way of prosecution.
"In these cases, there will be 'no further police action' - or no charge - against the offender because they are aged under 10 years old.
"The incident will be assessed on a case-by-case basis to establish whether any further involvement by the police is required.
"For more serious incidents, the case will be referred to appropriate partner agencies, such as children and young people's services at the county council, for family intervention and support."
