If you're looking to add a lot or even a little text to a Zone, an HTML block is the best way to do this.
Adding an HTML block
1. Choose "Insert new Zone block".
2. Choose the HTML block.
3. Fill in the following Fields:
Block Title: What you'd like the name of the Block to be.
Display Style: Just like every other block you have three displays for your Zone. Once again, this is a trial and error procress. Each Zone is different and the block style depends on the person and the Zone.
Free Form Text: This is where you can write all the free form text you'd like. We've included a Rich Text Editor which allows you to control the emphasis (bold or italics) of your text, the paragraph form, bullets, numbers, and even link articles to text or upload photos into this box.
Why is there so much complexity to this task ..? Must I rewrite my article ? Paste link ? Any suggestion will be appreciated...I can't get beyond title LOL Thanks, Olivia
OK- I think the How-to business is too difficult for me. I write on other websites with formatted templates (hubpages has a fabulous one) and they are much simpler than this. Thanks for the fun - maybe after a break and some sleep I will try again.
I keep trying to add a link from amazon.com to my how-to article using the HTML editor. When I did this yesterday, I just pasted in the HTML code from amazon after clicking "Toggle Editing HTML". Today when I do this, my text just keeps disappearing. The site is saving my header, and my border options, and any changes I make to the "text editor" but not the HTML. I cannot get my how-to published until this is fixed. HELP!
Hi,
I think you need to consider the suggestion that you add a proper font formatting menu like in Word for this process. I've tried to get rid of an unwanted style for ages now and I'm considering not using zones because of this minor and certainly fixable issue. I see the potential here but if it takes me all day just to try to get a style I want then I won't have time to use it.
I've tried recreating it in word and copying it across using your 'paste from word' buttons but they don't work and embed the style sheet into the free text field instead. Can you have someone look at this, as I feel zones would be useful for me. I use firefox if that helps.
Thank you,
