Meet Your Computers & Technology Stewards
|
Channel Steward
Computers are truly fascinating when you take a deeper look at them. Have you ever stopped to think that everything a computer can do, from displaying full colour photographs to playing your favourite music, is all done basically by adding gazillions of zeros and ones together at amazing speeds?
I've just recently taken over as Channel Steward for Computers and Technology. I suppose it makes sense for me to take over this zone as well.
Consumer Electronics Steward
Jennifer has enjoyed working and playing on the internet since she was a teenager (remember way back when, with the old phone in the cradle internet connection?)
Currently working full-time on the internet, content producing and online editing are some of her continuing services, along with her psychic services, which have been a life-long venture.
Also an electronics buff, she enjoys her time here on Helium as the Channel Steward for Consumer Electronics, and is happy to hear any comments, and to offer assistance with any concerns.
Internet Steward
I am a web developer, born in Spain but currently living in London. I've always been interested on the written word, and I probably read more than anybody else I know. I started writing on Helium on June 2009, as a way to improve my English and a challenge to myself. It was also a good way of sharing my knowledge over subjects people keep asking me questions about, specially websites. The engaging community and the challenge of having my articles rated against other awesome writers is what has kept me here.

Software Steward
Since February 2008, I have been submitting articles to Helium. Generally, I have tended to specialize in IT, Sports & recreation (golf, soccer), Humanities (modern history) and Hobbies and Games.
I prefer non-fictional writing to fictional. Possibly because I feel my style is better suited to it.
Telephones Steward
I'm what you call a "gadget geek." I'm one of those people who had tech before it becomes popular (example: I owned a first-generation Archos Jukebox 6000 [don't know what that is? Check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archos_Jukebox_series#Jukebox_6 000]). Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it), this keeps me relatively in the know when it comes to electronics, and more recently, cellular. I've run the gamut of providers (the only provider I haven't used is T-Mobile, but AT&T is GSM as well, so I have a good idea about the technology), so feel free to bounce any cell question off of me. If I don't have the answer right away, I can find it.
