My Featured Helium Poets

Here are links to some of the poems I really enjoyed here at Helium.  I will continue to post them as I find them, so check back often!

Wicked, By Gary Maclean

My Painful Past, By Bridget Webber

My Painful Past, By Shawn Bailey

Dishonesty, By Kenny L. Mitchell

Panic, By Lostash

Afraid To Sleep, By Jennifer Begley

New Love, By Mike Patrick

--The above poems really struck a chord with me.  The emotions were deep and evident, which made the above selections stick out to me.  This is truly what art and poetry is all about.

    I know a Little About...

      Lost

      The wicked we will creep,
      deep within my restless sleep.
      Salvation is so deep,
my pain lingers, I can't weep.

      Innocence, I've lost the light,
      future passed, seemed so bright.
War I've fought with all my might,
      a vision sought... lost sight.

      Confirmed pain, I still try,
      comprehend, to simplify.
Not knowing what, what is why,
a question asked, years passed by.

I pray the end... so distant,
      yield the day...existent.
      My sorrow is complacent,
      our worlds are adjacent.

      An image gives comfort,
      an overwhelming support.
      Worlds not so far apart.
      enlightened journey... the start.

Hi Raven, thanks for taking a peek. Well, so far, the demand has been for far smaller pups than mine. I have four that range in weight from 55-85lbs...BIG babbies!! LOL. Originally, for a laugh, my husband and I put one of my women's necklaces on one of our girls to see what it looked like. It looked so cute that the rest was history...I decided to make a few smaller ones for one of my husband's co-worker's. I plan on creating designs for larger breeds in the very near future and I definitely plan on posting pics of my gorgeous babies.

Hi Jim...thank you so much for visiting. No...LOL...it is NOT easy finding those poetic gems in a sea of words.... It is however, quite gratifying when you do! I've met some truly awesome people that way!! =)

This is a fine-looking zone Elaina. I love your idea of weekly poetry picks. Sounds simple, but it's not, is it? Best of luck to you with all of your writing ambitions.

Thanks, Raven. I love your bio, what a fun idea! As for grass painting, I was skeptical at first, but it looks amazingly good. Safe for the environment is also a plus...bonus! If you or someone you know is ever interested in any of the jewelry designs I post, feel free to drop me line. Thanks again for stopping by! Elaina

I love the cloud photos, and your jewelry looks great. I visited the link about painting grass and found it fascinating. I have often joked about wishing I could paint the grass instead of watering it... so cool that someone made a real business of it!
