All about New York's Beautiful Hudson Valley

"The Hudson Valley is a region full of beautiful sites and a diversity of places to visit. Destinations you can choose range from mountains, lakes, small rural towns, or quaint riverfront communities. Whatever your choice, you're bound to find something appealing in New York's Hudson Valley region.

The center of the valley of course is the famous Hudson River which runs about 315 miles from the Adirondack Mountains down to New York City before emptying into the New York Bay below Manhattan. Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome

In Rhinebeck, NY sits a special place. The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome is now in it's 50th year and still going strong.  The annual season typically opens in June and runs through October. The 2009 season opened on Saturday June 13th and will run through Sunday, October 18th.

Each weekend people from near and far flock to the Aerodrome grounds in order to be treated to the air shows, vintage vehicles, museums and even an audience participative vintage fashion show!  When you visit the Aerodrome you get to step back into time and live an era of long ago. The years of early aviation are a treat to learn about and see live, up close and personal.

Thanks for the great comment Jim! I tend to agree. Travel zones are a lot of fun too! While I'm no longer a New Yorker, I'll always be fond of the Hudson Valley region, it's beautiful. I have dozens, probably hundreds of pics I hope to get up here and rotate.
