The MAGIC Foundation (non-profit)

The world's largest organization for growth related disorders.

The MAGIC Foundation is a national non-profit organization providing support  for thousands of families whose children are affected with chronic and/or critical medical problems interrupting their growth (height).

Major Aspects of Growth In Children (MAGIC) is made up of 25,000+ families. We- the parents of MAGIC, fought to find answers for our children's lack of growth. It was not an easy road. Our children were finally diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency and a variety of other growth disorders. We are passionate about getting information "out there" for other parents who are concerned about their children. Call us at (708) 383-0808 or email ContactUs@magicfoundation.org

Notes from Jamie Harvey, Co-Founder

RUNNING 155 MILES IN THE OUTBACK DESERT FOR MAGIC!

Please help this amazing man!

1. IMPORTANT- Go to his website http://www.luciandgeorge.com. Click on the Australia Blog section in the middle of his home page to find George's BLOG (writing about his training and experiences). At the bottom of the page of posts is a Comment link. Here you can click to post a comment to him.

Do it right now while you are at your computer-it will only take a minute. He says that hearing from families helps him drive through the pain etc.

2. Send out an email request to friends, co-workers, family, etc. to donate even $5 or whatever they can help with. He will be hurt and disappointed to fall so far short of his $100,000 goal upon his return and we only have 4 days to raise $20,000! HELP!!!! It will take 200 people donating $100 each or 1,000 people donating $20 each to make his dream come true. He is giving it everything he has, and it is our turn to back him up! This will not happen if you fail to act on this appeal! It is going to take an effort like the one we all made to stop the bill in Congress last year.

George has a Cause page on Facebook if you want to go look at it. However, the Luci & George site is the most up to date one and the place he looks at each day after running.

Our commitment and vision is, to reduce the emotional and physical trauma caused by growth disorders, resulting in healthier, happier children.

Award Winning Charity

The Independent Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to Independent Charities of America and Local Independent Charities of America that have, upon rigorous independent review, been able to certify, document, and demonstrate on an annual basis that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness.

These standards include those required by the US Government for inclusion in the Combined Federal Campaign, probably the most exclusive fund drive in the world.

Of the 1,000,000 charities operating in the United States today, it is estimated that fewer than 50,000, or 5 percent, meet or exceed these standards, and, of those, fewer than 2,000 have been awarded this Seal. MAGIC's CFC #10388
