Melissa Miles McCarter lives in Ironton, MO with her husband William Matthew McCarter, who is a fellow writer and college professor, her stepson, her English bulldogs Boss Hog and Daisy, and her two cats, Milo and Catspurr. She is currently a doctoral student in rhetoric and composition and her main focus is postfeminism and composition studies. She recently published her first book "Insanity: a Love Story" through Fat Daddy's Farm. It available through Amazon.com as a paperback and in Kindle form. She writes about mental illness, personal experiences, postfeminism and other topics that are important to her any given moment.
