Lesley Hebert was born in London, England, and emigrated to Canada in 1968.
While raising her family, she worked in administrative positions for various non-profit associations, including the Vancouver Art Gallery, where she was the wordsmith who crafted the Board minutes.
In 2004 she completed her B.A. at Simon Fraser University and began teaching English as a second language at an international language school in Vancouver.
Lesley speaks French, German, Spanish, and basic Japanese.
