About me - Ray Burow

About me

I am convinced that Psalm 127:3-5 is true. "Children are a treasure from the Lord, like sharp arrows in the hands of a warrior, happy is the man whose quiver is full."

After twenty one years of marriage, and five children, I am continually thankful for the blessing of God in my life. With each passing year, and each passing event, it becomes less about me, and more about Him. At my age(which shall remain a mystery)my siblings are alive, and healthy, as well as my elderly mother and mother- in-law. All of this is a testament to the graciousness of a good God. Even, if I did not have the blessings of  the aforementioned things, by definition of Who God is, He would still be good. It is all about Him and very little about me.

This being said, my favorite topics include, but are not limited to: Marriage and Family, Children(in all stages),and Parenting. I am also capable of writing human interest stories, home living, education, biographies etc. I am comfortable researching information for any topic.

In addition, I am an experienced interviewer. I have prepared and conducted live and recorded interviews for radio. I am a former  radio announcer. This afforded me the opportunity to deliver news and information over a 100,000 watt station. This station is owned and operated by the Moody Broadcasting Network. This was a valuable experience which honed my researching, editing, interviewing  and writing skills.

I love researching and writing the stories of interesting people. I am comfortable writing biographies, as well as news related information.

I have a B A degree in Bible and am prepared to write on topics of Biblical study, and religious issues.I look forward to writing on these topics and more.

"War is Hell". This quote has been around since the American Civil war.  It is attributed to Union General William T. Sherman (famous for his march to the sea, and the burning of Savannah and Atlanta) Some would say, 'he would know'. For myself, believing there is an eternal destination for everyone, believing hell to be an authentic place,  and not having been there, and with no desire to go, I can not agree wholeheartedly with General Sherman, 'that war is indeed hell'. However, in the light of human experience, I will agree, on this earth, war is as close to hell as can be ima...
