I am a stay-at-home mother of 3. My family comes first...always. I am a nurturer by nature, so in the chaos of our home I sometimes allow my personal thoughts and opinions to be overlooked. On Helium, I'm able to express myself any time of the day without interruption. This is truly a space that's mine, and only mine. I look forward to learning new things, and sharing my thoughts with others.

My passion is ...

caring. I believe there are too many people in the world that don't care nearly enough.

I know too much about ...

domestic violence, food service, and Britney Spears.

My parents always told me ...

someday I'd know "why"....and, I do.

My childhood ambition ...

was to be a rock star, or a teacher, or a nurse, or the mother of 12 children, etc.

My favorite memory ...

is family cookouts at my grandparents' place by the creek. Those were some simple, but terrific times.

Why I write ...

I write, because it's easier to express myself that way.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I'm answering this as my 5 yr. old son is running around the living room playing with the family dog.

My first job ...

was at Dunkin' Donuts. I am still head over heels for their coffee.

My best moment ...

was the day I graduated high school. I had my first child at age 15, so graduating with my class was a huge accomplishment.

My inspiration ...

is my family. I used to be very independent, but have learned that without them, I am not me.

Amongst the chaos surrounding me, I take a quiet mental snapshots. There is no feasible way to catch these moments on film, for they are feelings. There are feelings of contentment, feelings of pride; love abounding. The marker-stained dining room table is covered with a linen table cloth. Today, there are no paper plates or plastic ware. The name brand candles that were reserved for a special occasion are burning, giving off a subtle glow that promotes serenity and warmth.
