About me

While other kids spent their summers fishing, swimming and hanging out with their friends, I escaped into my books. I loved science fiction and mysteries the most as a young girl. When my mother needed to find me, the first place she would search for me would be the lovely oak tree in our yard. She would find me sitting on my favorite "seat", high above the ground, nose deep in a book.

I traveled through time with Mrs. Whatsit, fought pirates with Jim Hawkins and solved mysteries with Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys.

When I wasn't reading, I was off in the woods in search of adventure, often while riding my dusty little Shetland.

Creative writing and English were always my favorite subjects in school. Since an affinity towards anything mathematical is contrary to my nature, it was a certain thing that I would not search out a career that required these skills.

I spent most of my adult life working in the title insurance industry, as a title examiner, which fed my love of research, however it left my mind with no room for flights of fancy.

I am thankful for this forum, which affords me the opportunity for feedback from other writers, as well as the chance to learn from others and improve my writing. I am hopeful that one day I will be able to return the favor!
