About me - Shirley Love

About me

I am the mother of 3, grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of one beautiful little girl. My husband and I are native Oklahomans; but I have lived in California and Kansas both for brief periods of time.

I am a genealogist and have compiled books tracing the family trees of my husband's family as well as my own. Genealogy is addictive, and finding living family members across the globe is like finding a treasure chest.

I have been writing since childhood, and have compiled a book of poetry, a couple of unpublished novels, and many short stories which have been published in an amateur writer's journal.

I love my God, my family and my home....and I love to write. Creative writing is a way to scatter bits and pieces of my personality, my thoughts, and my ideals. I do not try to force my beliefs or my morals on others; but if they do pick up a scrap here or there that makes them think, then my writing is worthwhile.

Most importantly, I strive to write something for others to enjoy. I think that is what God intended when He gave me this talent.

Her gardens were like one of her children.  She tended them with love and devotion, and in return they produced a bounty of tasty rewards f...
