I have been a part of the Helium community since July 2008. During that time, I have improved my writing, succeeding in selling seven marketplace articles to date. Writing in the area of travel is my strong point, although I take great interest in health and fitness, history, and the financial arena.
I graduated from college in three years with the support of my family. I earned a B.A. in business and French. I enjoyed a semester abroad in Paris and also took part in coordinating a Model UN trip to a conference in Chicago.
For the past 3-4 years, I have worked as a customer service and sales representative. It taught me all I needed to know about working with difficult customers as well as what it takes to be a good customer. I recently took some time off to be a stay-at-home mom, but have since returned to the world of customer service.
By day I am a mother of two, trying to impress upon them the importance of good behavior while cleaning up spilled baby powder and lotion off the floor. By night, I steal a few hours to focus on my research and writing.
I have started several books, both fiction and nonfiction, but have yet to finish one. I am hoping to get one finished and published one day. For now, I will dabble in different genres and enjoy learning new things.
My passion is ...
my children, traveling, writing.
I know too much about ...
life-I could have done without some experiences, but would not be who I am today without them.
My parents always told me ...
to be the best that I could be, but to remain true to myself.
My childhood ambition ...
was to be a writer, astronaut, and an artist. So far, I'm just working on the writer part.
My favorite memory ...
was finding out I was pregnant (each time)...although a close second would be hearing my baby cry for the first time.
Why I write ...
I write because it's calming and I feel the need to be a part of something.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Currently, it's children books and movies, but I love a good work of fiction if anyone has any suggestions.
My first job ...
was babysitting, which blossomed into working at a summer day camp, which in turn blossomed into other jobs.
My best moment ...
would be any moment that I experience the world through my children's eyes.
My inspiration ...
is my mother-who doesn't admire their mother (yes I know there are some, but I'm not one of them)?

When traveling, if you reach in your bag and find your passport missing, the first step is to head to the closest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once you have reported your passport as lost or stolen, you will complete Form DS-64, the Statement Regarding a Lost or Stolen Passport. Once this form has been submitted, the passport will be invalidated. A recovered passport cannot be re-validated, so after submitting your Form DS-64, you will want to begin the process of requesting a new passport. The...
