I grew up in an isolated, rural South Texas ranch and oil community, distant from the world at large. It has taken a lifetime to discover how big the world can be. In this discovery process I became amazed at the vastness of the unknown both around and within me. One lifetime is not nearly enough to explore, to experience adequately that which makes us human.
I am passionate about learning, experiencing, seeing through the eyes of others as well as viewing the world from a variety of angles utilizing my own sight while walking in the moccasins of others.
I believe in discussing taboo topics, religion, politics, life, death. These are the things that touch us where we live; yet, they are the things we neglect to address out of our fear of truth.
Nothing is too sacred to analyze. The more sacred the belief, the greater the demand for analysis. If, in fact, truth sets us free, there is no other quest save that of truth.

As the saying goes, "Truth can be stranger than fiction." Those who study the archaeological history of the Bible and Christianity, rather than only the Bible itself, discover a completely different story than one is likely to hear in church. Scholars of Christianity have known for decades that the traditional teachings of Christianity are not the history of Christianity, but the legends of Christianity....
