Let's see, there's a big dilemma here. Should I be modest
or let that old horn toot? Ah, go for the noise.
I'm married for the second time quite happily. I have 3 adult children, 3 grandchildren (all boys) and live in
a Chicago suburb. Writing is my passion. I'm a voracious reader, and avid crossword puzzle solver. I, however, have
absolutely no clue as to how to do Sudoku (can't spell it
either) so I've given up trying.
I love summer, gardening, and Las Vegas vacations. I hate
winter, shoveling snow and losing in Las Vegas. Since my
husband and I are retired, we travel frequently. It cuts
into my writing time but it has given me a fresh perspective about the world around me.
I write silly little poems, and lots of letters to the
editor. I've received "honorable mention" in several
contests but have never won anything. I'll continue writing
as long as the words keep coming.
My passion is ...
the power of the pen, the impact of the words
I know too much about ...
things I'd be better off not knowing
My parents always told me ...
that I was beautiful
My childhood ambition ...
To write something that someone would notice
My favorite memory ...
A warm night, a glass of wine and my husband by my side
Why I write ...
words are powerful tools of communication
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Historical fiction, biographies,
My first job ...
working at a suburban park district swimming pool
My best moment ...
Yet to come
My inspiration ...
My life, my kids, my husband,
You are poetry but I don't rhyme We're out of step most all of the time You are beauty and I am the beast I am leftovers and you are the feast You write touchingly beautiful words I am full of whey and curds Your poetic sonnet's make people cry I can't write so I don't try You have magic in your soul Mine comes with a deep black hole You are the wordsmith that I'd like to be But I'm happily content when you love me
