I'm a musician by hobby, and a bookkeeper by profession. I'm of Cuban-American ancestry. I went to city college for two years, and then to UCLA for one. I studied Film scoring, and Medical Insurance Billing. I've been a Medical Biller for over 20 years now: when I started my profession, I never thought I'd still be doing it "20 plus" years later. I always thought I'd make it as a composer by now, but "no can do...."
I recently became interested in writing. The music organization I belong to asked me to write an article about our group. I did, and it was published in the "Whittier Daily Newspaper" in California. Shortly after: I got two more articles published. Although I would trade music for writing "In a heartbeat"; writing is another way in which I can express myself. I'm hoping to improve my skills with time.
I was one of the best pianists in my high school, I wanted to be a composer when I graduated. I never 'ever' thought I would take up writing, however: people change with age. I have to say; since I've never written before and there is so much talent at Helium: I find myself very intimidated at times. I love great writers and philosophers from ancient Greece to the present. Likewise, I love great Music: especially "19th century romantic composers...."
My passion is ...

Chapter III
One day, Maria decided she was going to make a different dish on Saturday, she warned her uncle the previous Saturday, "I'm not making Ox-tail next Saturday; I'm making earth-crabs." "Earth-crabs, but you would have to go to Cardenas for earth-crabs." "Someone is going to get them for me, some I knew from college, her family is from Cardenas, and they go and get earth-crabs, and bring them back." "That's almost eighty-miles from here, well: if you say so, see you next Saturday."
Earth-crabs are huge, some can weigh as much as six-pounds, and...
