About me

Hello!

My name is Penny. Although I am not as active on Helium.com as I would like to be, I do hope that everyone will take time to read the few articles that I have submitted so far.

In order to advance my income earning opportunities, I am currently working on attaining an associates degree, majoring in journalism, with a minor in communications. I have recently attend Kaplan University as a full-time on-line student. For the 2008 Fall semester, I will be attending Carl Albert State College. Upon graduation, the knowledge gained will be applied to a freelance writing career, as well as to the operation of several small, home-based businesses, and an on-line entrepreneur business.

I can honestly say that it has been really challenging attending an on-line university. Fortunately, I love challenges. I am proud to announce that I maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout the four terms I spent at Kaplan University. I am hoping to maintain my status as an honor student throughout my attendance at Carl Albert State College, as well.

I desire to share the vast knowledge and life experiences that I and others have gained through some very extraordinary experience. Several people, including my classmates and family, have suggested that I write a book to share this knowledge and experience with others. However, I tend to prefer writing short stories rather than long sagas.

Most of my articles on this site have been written prior to my having any composition courses, so could probably use a little revision. I hope my readers will enjoy the articles anyways. Hopefully, in the near future, I will have a chance to provide many more articles, especially on topics more meaningful to me.

I often find myself having to choose whether to do something for myself, my spouse, my adult children, or other relatives. My husband and I live off his disability income. Since all my relatives (except my daughter and her son) live far away, visiting often is not an option for me. We must choose one set of relatives to visit every two to three years. If I choose to visit the relatives living in Texas, I cannot visit the ones living in California for an additional two to three years, and vice versa.
