I am a twenty-two year old college student majoring in Psychology. My passions include music, movies, photography, and anything inolving life in Denver. Writing has always been a passion of mine. Many of my articles are creative writing such as poetry and short stories. However with my recent return to school, I have been focusing on more informative non-fiction topics. Killing two birds with one stone, so to speak, I have been using my english assignments as inspiration. The two communities, school and Helium.com, have allowed me to expand my writing abilities and provide me with insight and reflection, encouraging me to become a better writer.
My passion is ...
learning new things. Be it a new skill or fact, knowledge is inspiration.
I know too much about ...
nothing. There is always something more to learn about any topic, if you think you know too much, keep reseraching untill you find something new.
My parents always told me ...
that I can do anything I put my mind to.
My childhood ambition ...
was to become famous for...something. I still think becoming famous would be an adventure, but now I'm more focused on doing anything that makes me smile.
My favorite memory ...
was graduating high school and feeling like i had reached the first major accomplish of my life. It was very gratifying, being the first child in my family to recieve a diploma.
Why I write ...
I write because it allows me to express myself. I can share my inner feelings through creative writing or demonstrate my opinions through debate. Writing grants a freedom that few other outlets can.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I read everything I can get my hands on, watch little tv, and listen to everything from underground indie music to main stream hip hop.
My first job ...
working drive thru at Mcdonald's. I am quite pleased that I no longer work fast-food, but I think it was a great place to work as a first job.
My best moment ...
has yet to come. But I take pride in everything I do and always strive to do better than before.
My inspiration ...
is my friends. They inspire me to have fun, enjoy life and become a better person by doing whatever makes me happy.
