If your craft is weaving a tapestry of unrelenting terror and fear, you may have found a kindred spirit with this writer. Writing isn't just an addiction; it's a dark obsession that I can never go without. My mentors include some of the most twisted minds to have ever put pen to paper, but according to my shrink they haven't got "nuthin on me"!
I have collected several of my talents along this journey through life, although technology has seemingly possessed me when I wasn't looking. I am a dedicated father to my daughter who has already overcome great obstacles to be here on this earth. I am lucky enough to have married my high school sweetheart, and feel blessed for all the gifts I have been bestowed. I have persevered many challenges in life, and I don't know where I would be today if it had not been for the support of my family and friends. I know too much about pain and suffering and I am not about to give up the battle yet. I despise people that remained closed minded and aren't able to explore new possibilities. I love everything about writing and hope someday that I will see my work in a published print. Like many other writers I am struggling to become noticed in the literary world. I love seeing my work here online at Helium, and have found a new home to hone my craft to a polished sheen. I never tried expanding my writing abilities until I found Helium, and I owe a great debt of gratitude to the feedback and support I have received here at Helium, and the small pittance I have been atoned. I fully welcome any and all comments or feedback to help strengthen my ability to write. Feel free to email me at darkkwriter@yahoo.ca, but please no spam (there is enough already).
My current writing styling could be classified as horror or suspense, but even my wife thinks my work is just slightly disturbed. My career path has led me through a wake of experiences, and I am currently holding a fairly long-term position as a technical support analyst for a major wireless communications company.
Many have asked me "where do you get your inspiration or ideas from"? I would like to say something intelligent or meaningful, but instead all I can say is: "I have somehow exhumed my thoughts and ideas from memory remnants of nightmares I have endured during sleep". As someone that suffers from insomnia it is apparently common that sleeping patterns can exhibit more hostile dreamscapes.
Either way, if nightmares are supposed to be my canvas than my words must be my paint. Does this make me a deeply deranged artist? You be the judge!
I have one last piece of sage wisdom to share, as corny as it may sound. Live life to the fullest, never take a moment for granted, Laugh when the world frowns, and if all else fails write it down!

MY HOUSE During the summer of 1996, I moved out of dad’s house to a small one-bedroom apartment in the city. It was a fairly large French Victorian style home, built sometime in the late 1800’s; at least according to the landlord that was renting it. Inside it was all hard-wood floors, a small but sufficient sized kitchen and a beautiful stone fireplace that nearly took up the whole living room wall. The house apparently was divided into four other apartments; one two-bedroom in the basement, one single next door to mine, and two other small units upstairs. Overall, it was an a...
