About me - Carly Mack

About me

I am a Carolinian, Mother of two daughters, Grandmother to five, entwined... or maybe it's entangled, steeped in tradition, honor my heritage, loyal to my friends, happy in my thoughts and eager to try new things... it's never too late.

After many years in other places, primarily Texas, it is good to be back home in Carolina [presently Raleigh]. My career path has been predominantly in sales and largely in auto sales. I enjoy the challenges that people present in a negotiating situation. The more reactionary the opponent, the more I am intrigued, which may account for my love of debate.

The written word has been and continues to be my favorite form of communication. It allows the opportunity to think before speaking, although I still find the occasional toe in my mouth when I am impassioned.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

the truth

I know too much about ...

the neighbors

My parents always told me ...

"you can't hear if you are talking"... which explains why I talk so much now.

My childhood ambition ...

to play...

My favorite memory ...

...got a couple of days?

Why I write ...

...to express myself, is there any other reason?

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

Listening to Coldplay (never gets old), watching the birds in the trees from my window (I'm warm, they're cold) and reading Dostoevsky (feeling a bit like the Idiot I'm reading about).

My first job ...

Telephone company... one ringy dingy....

My best moment ...

All of them. Even the not so good moments have value.

My inspiration ...

Margaret Mitchell... she proved that it's never too late.

Joe's Cash N Carry If it wasn't so close, I'd go someplace else but I always opt for economy and that would be Joe's, so, what the hell, I'll suffer his ill personality. As if that weren't enough to keep me away. the picked-over produce, at best with its shriveled-up skin on the verge of decay should be chucked out back with the trash! Course, the treat is the meat at the counter in back with a smell that would permeate stone in colors not found in your Crayola pack at its "special low price", sans the bone. So for cigarettes, beer and the local news, not to mention Big Lil's filbert pie, ...
