This is quite a big nut to crack here... I'll try to give you some idea about me.

I am thirty-three years old(Dec 10, 1973), live in Buffalo, NY where i have been all my life. I graduated High school in '92 and yet found myself more enthused with the making money at work gig than devoting the proper time to my studies(I went to college for one semester at St. John Fisher-lol!). My family owns a restaurant in Buffalo and I was a bartender there as well as in the Doentown scene for about 12-13 years, and I can honestly say that from what I remember about those times, I do not regret it one bit. Some of the things I learned during that time is certainly something I can chalk up as "Life Experiences", and honestly, I don't think I would have picked these tidbits up anywhere else.

Moving on to the present, i am now a saute cook for a well-known Restaurant i the area, and am currently attending classes at Erie Community College in Buffalo in pursuit of a teaching degree. I have 38 credits as of now, I am taking four classes this semester.

As for writing, my experiences growing up reading some of the classics really spawned my interest in expressing myself through written works. As well, I became a big fan of many of the writers of the present. Anywhere from the late Hunter Thompson to George Will, I have always been amazed at the artistic passion which a great writer employs when portraying their subject and getting their opinions across. As a bit of a History buff, especially the Revolutionary War era, men like Jefferson, Madison, Paine, and Hamilton gave me the true meaning of "The Power of the Pen" and how something so simple as a collection of words could fill mens spirits to the point of fighting to the death for what one truly believes.

I am so glad I came across this site. What I choose to write about here certainly may vary in subject, which I believe is what any aspiring write must be able to conquer.
I am here for the knowledge of others, the critiques that hopefully many of you will give me. I believe this is a situation that can reward me with a tremendous amount of insight and experience into the world of Journalism. My hope is that by putting down my thoughts, ideas, and opinions on the many issues that I and we face, I can be able to put forth my writings and garner the advice and critiques that can help me become a better writer.
