About me - Donna Alexandria

About me

I became a writer to discover my perspective, how my creativity process life's everyday events. When l look beyond, how do I see the world staring back at me? Am I just an observer or an agressive participant, eager and fierce?

The world has so many visions, still quite undiscovered. Can I take those visions, and create a story that will embrace imagination, and emotion? Will my story people embrace a language of distinction and importance? I want to find a place for my story people that invites you in for a nice cup of coffee, and refuses to let you go.

I grew up in Detroit...this is a place that still captures every chord of my being. I think of returning home for good. But I believe I've yet to discover all there is for me here in Atlanta. Two years has passed since I've arrived, and I am still disconnected as if I am walking on foreign soil.

I am finding my way through other venues like politics, education, and community. Each day something about Georgia stirs a vigor inside of me that won't quit.

Recently, I 've started an education blog..one of my many passions. I have 8 year old twin girls who are imprisoned in a system that actually believes in the infamous 'No Child Left Behind' propranganda. I am determine to set that record straight through community initiatives, and educational forums. We must continue to fight for public school reform...did not hear that in the presidential debates.

For the most part, I am just an ordinary girl searching for significance.
