: About Me

Tamara Hassinger-Warta was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She received her B.A. in English from University of California, Davis in 2004, and has been married to her high school crush for 3 years.

She currently is under contract with several webzines and is a daily feature writer of Asian Innovations through Inventor Spot. She also is featured weekly on Lovetoknow.com and monthly on Wellsphere and Healthsphere.

Tamara loves to travel the world to share her faith and her love of the arts with others. She is currently writing a book, which is slated for publication in February 2008.

She has been published nationally in Dance Spirit magazine, Foothill Style magazine, and on the websites Limestart.com and Skincare-News.com. She is also a contributing writer for The Natomas Journal, which was chosen as one of the top three newspapers in the Sacramento region.

A devout Christian, Tamara directs and teaches a dance and drama ministry in the Sacramento area. She is also one of the world's biggest Disney fans.

Why I write ...

I love to be creative and it is a great outlet. (it helps my bank account too!)

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I'm always reading something. I love the British humorists Danny Wallace and Dave Gorman. Right now I am rereading Alice in Wonderland, I love classic children's books. I don't watch much TV, but when I do it's always tuned in to either VH1 or TLC. I am intrigued by The Real Housewives of Orange County, too. Holy cow! I'm basically always listening to my iPod while I write - a fun combination of christian worship, alternative rock, pop, new age, and oldies too! :)
