About me

I am a work from home freelance writer learning the ropes as I go. I have been writing to Helium for about three years and still don't know nearly enough about the art. I quit my full time job over a year ago to pursue my work at home career on a part time basis. I am in high gear now and working full time with a lot of overtime involved. I am proud to be a writer on the Helium site and look forward to many years with them.

I began to realize the love of writing when I was a child. Reading has always been an important part of my life and there is nothing I would love more than to emulate one of the great writer's. One of my favorite writer's is Mark Twain because of his whimsical style of writing. He says something all the while pretending not to be saying anything at all. John Jakes is another favorite because of his extensive knowledge of American History. His Civil War novels are of special interest to me including the Kent Family Chronicles. A series of books that starts with the family leaving their home country to venture to America and following through to the Post Civil War era. In other words, I love American history most notably during the Civil War era.
