Helium has been a valued sorce of help and information during my membership. The feedback from others has helped me to gain confidence and go towards quality. Whenever there is anything I'm not sure about, there is always someone here that I can email for help. The people on Helium are really good to work with. My almost five years with Helium has made a big difference to my retirement.
I have spent most of my working life as a motor mechanic. In between I have worked as a quality control inspector in a car building factory. I worked on the Morris Marina and Ital models. My area was a production line which built the bodyy shells. My favourite was the estate and van versions.
When early retirement happened I started up my own nursery, growing and selling hostas. I had to close it through ill health in 2004, after which I took up writing, including with Helium.
My favouritr writing era is the 18th century, during which my novels centre around the mail-coaching days of highwaymen etc.
Whenever possible I go to the north of England where I love to walk the fells and mountains.
I still have a deep interest in gardening, especially my hostas.
