I grew up in a very serene and picturesque part of Southwest England, that in some ways, I wish I never left. Often, I return, in my mind, to the memories and loved ones that I left behind, as they are truly my inspiration and inner light.
My mother was a writer at heart and she produced several published short stories and newspaper articles. She was the second youngest of six, that survived the air raids and traumas of the London Blitz. Her encounters and experiences are much alive through me. I dedicate this paragraph to my mother, becasue she was the one that inspired me to write! I am currently editing, with the aid of a local college student, the gigantic novel that took my mother twenty five years to write; It is a love story, set in the 1950's. She passed over into to her favorite place, in March 2004.
Me? I am an artist at heart. I got that from my grandfather who was an early twentieth century landscape and seascape artist. Interested? Google the name: Garstin Cox.
I spent my early years as a lanscape gardener, enjoying the outdoors and sculpturing some of England's finest countryside.
I emigrated to the USA in 1986 and started a new life. Why? It seemed like a good idea at the time!
Thanks to my mother's connection with certain, things? My life has been full of encounters with the paranormal, the unseen and the unaccounted for! With that in mind, I like to write with feeling and insight and I like to paint a picture, so that my writings can be felt and experienced.
My claim to published work, apart from my writings and publications on this site; Are the seventeen monthly articles, that I produced for a local Public Television station's online news letter, here in Maryland, between 2005 and 2007. If you've ever heard of the 'Afternoon British Tea Lady', then you must remeber 'The British Tea Times Columnist', Jon Coe.
Anyway, I'm still writing and still learning and Helium is a great place for the likes of me and others, like me.
My passion is ...
Putting words to paper and musical notes to my ears, in order to paint a picture.

make sure that I always wore clean underwear.
My childhood ambition ...
Was to write a book.
My favorite memory ...
Are the times that I used to spend with my Grandmother when I was child. She used to buy jam tarts and entice me into her bungalow with them and chuckle to herself when I ate the last one.
Why I write ...
I write for my sanity and a direct link to my true feelings.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I like to read about phenonema, about the world, about the history of it all. I like to watch documentaries and mysteries and I enjoy listening to music with 'Blues/Jazz' arrangements
My first job ...
My first job was working in a seasonal restaurant for an excentric couple who used to fight all the time. They would first argue, then they resort to physical violence, like throwing all the diry dish water over one another. I learned to use a microwave oven and that cooking an egg in it was not a good idea.
My best moment ...
My best moment was when I found myself sitting infront of about 50 people with my guitar. I had agreed to tell jokes and play. It all worked out, as to do either one of those be itself would have been disasterous.
My inspiration ...
My inspiration comes from remembering loved ones in my past and the places where they lived.
The spirit is something deep inside
it is hard to break it, or take it, for a ride
It is a thing that keeps us sane and true
it is a place for us to reflect and over view
This spirit came into this world with us
it is part of who we are, we trust
Without it, we would not be alive
our spirit is part of god, in which we thrive
Spirits get broken for a reason
but that is just a passing season
Lessons learned are meek and humble
better to accept, than fumble
Don't get me wrong, this life is hard
accepting truth, is no vineyard
Sometimes pain is hard to bear
but spirit's tru...
