The most damaging effect on primary school education is the lack of support from parents of state school children. It is clear that this indifference is a result of state school cuts made by the government in the early 1980's. With privatisation came the closure of many successful state primary schools and 28 years on this effect is still closing down schools. This means that children from mixed environments are thrown together creating bad attitudes towards education by all but private school children.
