ABOUT ME (Professionally):
I am a 50-something world traveler, writer, digital camera teacher, and photographer. I am a regular contributor to our province's two senior newspapers.
I have been a writer/reporter/journalist for most of my life; I recently became a travel advice bloggist, too.

I have returned to finishing my apocalyptic adventure novel which has been sitting on the back-burner for far too long.
An English professor once told me that we (every one of us) has one great novel inside us. I believed him. So, it's time to finish wrenching this book out of my soul, word by word, paragraph by paragraph, and tear by salty tear.
ABOUT ME (Personally):
I am desperately in love with my husband, David, of 20 years. And I dearly love my grandchildren.
I love New York City, too, almost as much as the aforementioned humans. But alas, Melbourne, Australia has bewitched me and I fear my affections have swayed. Read that account here:

I am semi-retired, but I have never been busier. I have done everything from being a rock and roll reporter to a private investigator. I have driven a milk truck and I have written and produced murder mystery theater.
I get bored easily and I hate liars. I love candid people and will spend time with almost anyone, especially strangers. I have chatted with the Mafia as easily as I chat with foreign children. I don't care who you are; as long as you are interested in sharing a part of yourself (in a captivating fashion), I will be an avid listener. So far, very few people in my travels, have disappointed me.
I design jewelery as a serious hobby, and I maintain an active web site: http://www.visualsbysheree.com. I am self-taught in most areas including digital photography and web design.
I have been an entrepreneur my whole life and I stand firmly on a work ethic of "give it all you've got, no matter how much it hurts."

Children learn what they are taught. Yes, that is a very pat thing to say, but it's true. If a child is taught to spend most of his or her waking hours in front of a TV, that's what they will learn to value.
