I've been a linguist at least since I was 4 or 5. My mom and I lived next door to a family of Puerto Ricans. My mom had taught me how to ask for water in Spanish so I knocked on my neighbor's door and asked them for water in Spanish. So they brought me water! But when I got to 7th grade they told me that my 6th grade reading grades weren't good enough to take a foreign language. So I studied it on my own until high school when I was finally allowed to take Spanish. At that point, somewhat bored with it, I also started studying German. Which I studied in college, also.
I spent 6 years on active duty in the Navy and now I am in the reserves for over a year now. I am a real estate agent and part time taxi driver as well.
I have 3 kids. Two boys and one girl. They are 11, 9 and 6 years old. Wonder full kiddies. And a fiance who I am crazy about. A wonderful mom, cool dad, and a lovely sister.
I write fiction. I also like to write about my experiences writing. What could be better? Writing about writing. Seems like a no brainer!
Oh, and it really bothers me when I forget to hit the spell check before submitting an article. If you read something and it has a bunch of spelling errors, it's usually because my typing isn't as great as it could be.
