About me

Hi! My name is Giant Cookie, I mean, Meagan Ewton. (It's funnier when you say it fast out loud.) I'm a youth pastor's wife and a brand new mother. My baby girl, who never met a challenge she couldn't dominate, teaches me new things every day (whether or not I want to learn them). My husband is a youth pastor in an area where many of the residents haven't been to church in two or even three generations. It's difficult reaching some, but many others are very open to God's work. (If they could just recognize it sometimes...) I hope to use my life to remind Christians who Christ is. Sadly, I believe that the majority of Americans who call themselves "Christians" do so for the fire insurance. I hope and pray that following Christ means something again. Until then, I hope to make a difference where I am with what I have. Now then, where did that baby girl take off to...?

However, there are certain instances when having a small congregation is symptomatic of a larger, more destructive issue. When particular issues create a small or shrinking congregation, the church should be closed or combined with a growing church.
