I don't often write on this site, but I do like sharing my opinion...especially if someone else can benefit from my experience and/or mistakes.

I have a long-term girlfriend, a couple of pets, and a plan on how I'm going to achieve my philanthropic objectives.  Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with my life.

Mr. Assange's actions have nothing to do with freedom of speech. Were he vocally denouncing a regime or sharing his opinions, I would agree. Instead, what he is doing is analagous to publishing all of your social security numbers, pictures of any of you that have cheated on your spouse or significant other, recordings of any conversations you've had with another that you wouldn't want public, and providing a list of your cell phone numbers for telemarketing purposes.
