About me - Richard Serra

About me

I started writing upon first finding Helium as a way to express an opinion or ideas, so as to share with others who might find interesting what I may write. I find it easy to write, as well as enjoyable and satisfying. I never thought of myself as writing articles whereas millions might read what I write, but with Helium making it so easy, I couldn't resist.

I'm now very much addicted, and hope to do a couple of novels, and also a couple of true stories. Freelance writing does provide some perks now and then, an example would be is when I write about restaurants, I sometimes get a freebie for my efforts. Another would be when writing about repair shops, I might get a decent break on the price of a repair.

I was brought up in a family grocery business, and that was followed by a carrear in managing supermarkets, after which I went into sales. Hope to write a TV sitcom or science fiction stories that might be considered for airing.
