Everyone always starts an introduction with a name. If you can read, I'm sure you've figured mine out by now. I'm 22, with anger management issues and 4 jobs.
My primary job, my career if you will, is piercing. I stab people for fun and profit, and have done so since 2006. Piercing is my love and my obsession. A sterile, well done, piercing, is the highlight of my day. My occasionally paid hobby is modeling. I do love creating a stunning image, and since I'm terrible with a camera, I stay in front of it. For strictly money, as I'm horribly in debt, and also the free coffee because I'm a caffeine addict, I'm a bartender at trophy's sports bar, and a barista at Caribou Coffee.
I'm a handful of contradictions. The cuddle punk, cutely vicious, joyously callous; silent and creepy one moment, and vividly articulate the next. I'm well known for giving someone a warm, friendly hug, followed by a solid punch to the kidneys, for no discernable reason. I find brutal honesty refreshing, and think tact is for sissies.
I listen to music, preferably punk, metal, opera metal, a little bit of radio rock, some alternative, opera, classical, blues, jazz, bluegrass, and so on...but every now and then I have to suffer through rap, hip hop, rap metal, or country.
If given a choice between reading and watching a movie or t.v., I'll usually pick books, I have over 2,000 on my shelves at home. Anything from Vonnegut to David Sedaris, to Mercedes Lackey, to anatomy textbooks and writing handbooks, I read it. I do, in fact, watch movies and television. I like crime shows (C.S.I., Bones), b-movies, horror movies, thrillers, Boston Legal, and for news I trust Stephen Colbert and Jon Daily. If I'm gonna get a spin, it might as well be funny.
My passion is ...
Stabbing people for fun and profit (piercing)
I know too much about ...
Piercing, I obsess a bit, and alcohol. I've worked in bars for a long time.
My parents always told me ...
Don't get caught.. If a guy gets out of line, cut him where it counts.
My childhood ambition ...
International assassin. I was a demented child, and now I'm a depraved adult.
My favorite memory ...
Is very boring, really, though I think my second favorite is throwing lit cigarettes at emo kids at a coheed and cambria show.
Why I write ...
To help people stop being so damn stupid about piercing.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
As I type this, cars are going by outside the shop window, and I'm torturing the tattoo artists with Voltaire on the cd player.
My first job ...
Very first? Pretending I was old enough to work in a bar, cocktailing at the place my mom bartended when they were short handed.
My best moment ...
I'm not sure what this question means, and I'm too lazy to think about a good answer.
My inspiration ...
Life, of course. That's everyone's inspiration. Specifically: People and the stupid or -rarely- wonderful things they do.
Prepare for a long read. I'm not even going to really address the aesthetics of this issue. In India, body piercing is seen as a sign of beauty. In some African cultures, various body piercings are signs of beauty, fertility, strength, and so on. In some cultures, a specific piercing designated you as a slave or a criminal. So don't bother talking about this part. It's personal preference, and I don't know about you, but I live in a free country, and if I don't like it, I'll just have to deal with it. Same for the Canadians. They get freedom of expression. Express yourself. With or without ...
