Hi, hello, how are you, and all of that... I am Jessi, a 24 year old mother of a five year old boy. I've been married for six years; in that time, I believe I've learned a little bit about life, love, etc.. and I would like to share what I know with the world and learn from others who have had different experiences and therefore different perspectives from my own. I am a stay at home mother, so I have some spare time in which to read, write, and just in general share with this community.

Why I write ...

I write to get things out of my head, to let some of my ideas see the light of day, to see if they will survive outside of my brain. :)

I have one son. He is five, and tomorrow is his first day of school...and I am scared to death! Maybe "scared to death" isn't the best possible phrase, but it's close to the truth. Today, in preparation for the big event tomorrow, I had a discussion with my son about "private places" so he would be better able to judge inappropriate behavior not only with adults but with other kids. He already knows the proper names for his body parts, but I hadn't talked to him about what is okay and what is NOT okay. Some people might think this was wrong, but I don't want to send him out into the world ...
