I am a stay-at-home mom who loves to knit, crochet, sew, read, and play around in photoshop. Of course, I love taking care of my beautiful baby boy who is a year old now!

I hope to expand my literature horizons and improve my writing skills here (since I didn't finish college and haven't had an English class for quite some time).

My favorite author is, and always has been, Dean Koontz. My favorite actress is Audrey Hepburn and my favorite movie is, and always has been, The Little Mermaid (even though Audrey isn't in that film at all).

Being a new mom can be stressful. I never knew the real truth of this until just recently when I gave birth to my first baby. My son was born just after Thanksgiving in 2006 and I couldn't wait to get him home and play with him. But he slept most of the time and anytime he was awake he either needed a diaper change or wanted to eat. I found myself with a lot of time on my hands, at first.

Soon I became bored. Didn't know what to do with myself when he'd sleep, usually for 3 or 4 hours at a time. What on Earth would I do with my spare time? Well, before I even got pregnant I taught myself...
