The simple answer? Yes. We, as a nation are morons. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE America. I love the idea of a melting pot nation with unlimited individual freedom. I love the idea of a nation built by the people for the people. Yes, like all other Americans, this makes me dumb as a screen door on a submarine. The truth is- none of these things exist outside of a Milton novel. We are a nation that has been force-fed a Disney-esque picture of American history, life and politics.
