I write poetry and short stories, mostly in the gothic and dark fantasy genres. I have authored two books which has been published (Mirrors of Darkness and Light, and Mirrors of Madness and Sight, 2006 and 2008, respectively). I've been published in Poesia magazine, won the 2007 James T. Whitehead Sonnet or Sestina Prize, and placed 13th in PoetrySoup's international poetry competition.

In the state of Arkansas (where I reside), gay couples cannot adopt children. In addition, the American Family Council is trying to get legislation passed which would ban gay couples even from becoming foster parents. According to a September 2007 AP article ("AG Will Reject Gay Foster Parents Ban" by Andrew DeMillo), Jerry Cox, executive director of the AFC, stated that he believes that homosexual and unmarried heterosexual couples are "not safe for children."
