I've always hated competition and at school it was always compulsory to compete in the school athletics and swimming carnivals. Despite my protests against the whole ordeal, for some reason someone above deemed it amusing to make me half decent at sport. Much like it being compulsory to compete in the school carnivals, it was also compulsory to compete in the inter-school carnivals, which was even worse!
