I am a Senior Employment Consultant working in Melbourne. I have an IT background but moved in to employment services 2 years ago when I decided I needed a change. I find placing the right person in the right job the most rewarding thing in the world. When you see a happy employer and an ecstatic candidate it gives you a real buzz that makes all the hard work worth it.
Through this hands on experience I have what I believe an excellent knowledge of what employers are looking for, the frustrations of job seekers and some great tips on resume writing, job searching, cover letters and self motivation to share.
In my leisure time, I enjoy writing on my personal blog http://matt.hurgh.org to let my family and friends know whats going on in my life. I also enjoy being active in my local church and spending quality time with my wife, who by the way is pregnant with our first child. I enjoy IT, gizmos and gadgets, board games and cards, sport and blogging.

Remember it may be scanned from paper in to a computer for cross checking, key word searches etc. Or it may be directly entered in to a database if you send your resume via email. Many recruitment companies and large organizations use these methods now to try and automatically pre-screen resumes to save time and dollars. This can seem frustrating, but...
