I'm first and foremost, a mom, a role that gives me incredible insights into my job as an educator. I work in a program for students with emotional and behavioral disorders. I have a masters degree in education and taking classes to become certified in special education, and learning and language disorders. I am a reader by nature, and as such, believe that "The Great American Novel" is well within my grasp.

I remember one time I'd taken my newborn twins to the doctor for a routine check up. One of the nurses took one look at my exhausted face and told me not to worry, that one day, it would get better. I wish I had gotten her name, because now, thirteen years later, I'd like to hunt her up and ask her, "When? When does it get easier?"
