Rita Garwood is a graduate of Kutztown University's professional writing program. Her work has appeared in the Artist's Lair, The Tower, and The Keystone.

Currently, Rita is contemplating a career in law, although the urge to use the active voice continuously discourages that venture.

Rita spends a great amount of time with her two-year-old daughter, Violet. She also enjoys experimental cooking, aimless drives, dwelling on boys, and the short fiction section of the New Yorker.

Writing is a therapy of sorts, it releases everything that's spinning around in my mind into a coherant form that can be shared with others.

So your heart feels like it's about to leap out of your chest, your palms are more than a little on the moist side, and that certain someone seems to have set up camp in your brain...or are they building a foundation?
