I am 22 years old, living in the Great State of Idaho. I am concerned about a lot of important issues, and it is my goal to correct misunderstandings, help correct ignorance, and try to promote the American Way as our forefathers intended it. Because of my principles, I will not contribute to the charities on the list provided by Helium because they are all too liberal, too anti-american, anti-liberty, though I do give money to all sorts of conservative causes. I am currently a member of the Gold Prospector's Association of America, a very good orgnization that stands up for our land rights. www.goldprospectors.org for more info on them.
A couple quotes that I firmly believe are true:
"Do not separate text from historical background. If you do, you will have perverted and subverted the Constitution, which can only end in a distorted, bastardized form of illegitimate government." -James Madison
"If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy." -James Madison
"It will be found an unjust and unwise jealousy to deprive a man of his natural liberty upon the supposition he may abuse it. " -George Washington
"The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that's good. " -George Washington
"I am mortified to be told that, in the United States of America, the sale of a book can become a subject of inquiry, and of criminal inquiry too. " -Thomas Jefferson
"I have sworn upon the alter of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man. " -Thomas Jefferson
"It is our duty still to endeavor to avoid war; but if it shall actually take place, no matter by whom brought on, we must defend ourselves. If our house be on fire, without inquiring whether it was fired from within or without, we must try to extinguish it. " -Thomas Jefferson
"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. " -Thomas Jefferson
"The great object is that every man be armed. " -Patrick Henry
"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined. " -Patrick Henry
"How strangely will the Tools of a Tyrant pervert the plain Meaning of Words! " -Samuel Adams
"The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution, are worth defending against all hazards: And it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. " -Samuel Adams
"Labour was the first price, the original purchase - money that was paid for all things. It was not by gold or by silver, but by labour, that all wealth of the world was originally purchased. " - Adam Smith
"War is cruelty, and you cannot refine it; and those who brought war into our country deserve all the curses and maledictions a people can pour out. " -William Tecumseh Sherman
"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. " -Abraham Lincoln
"We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution. " -Abraham Lincoln
"The man who loves other countries as much as his own stands on a level with the man who loves other women as much as he loves his own wife. " -Theodore Roosevelt
"There can be no fifty-fifty Americanism in this country. There is room here for only 100% Americanism, only for those who are Americans and nothing else. " -Theodore Roosevelt
"Most people are willing to take the Sermon on the Mount as a flag to sail under, but few will use it as a rudder by which to steer. " -Oliver Wendell Holmes
"He that cannot reason is a fool. He that will not is a bigot. He that dare not is a slave. " -Andrew Carnegie
